The year 2025 was challenging for our entire country, but we continue to stand and fight, no matter what. This year, Cityhost.ua, just like in previous wartime years, maintains a decent level of services and a cohesive team. Moreover — we continue to develop. In this article, we share everything that has happened to us, our results, and achievements.

Our public and communication activities

This section contains examples of our public and communication activities — supporting initiatives, working with the community, content projects, and interaction formats beyond technical services. It is important for us not only to provide services but also to stay in touch with the people who use them, creating a space for dialogue, support, and shared ideas.

Continued the program to support budgetary, charitable, and volunteer organizations

We continue to support budgetary institutions, charitable and volunteer organizations by providing them with free domains and hosting — as a simple yet important tool for daily work, communication, and presence in the online space.

The program has been in effect since April 2022. During this time, it has been utilized by schools and universities, cultural institutions, city and district organizations, as well as charitable and volunteer funds from various regions of Ukraine.

The total amount of support provided during the program's operation reached nearly 678,000 hryvnias. In 2025, we are maintaining this initiative and continuing its implementation, supporting projects and organizations that work for the common good.

Updated the visual style of the blog and media materials

In February, the design of the blog, social media materials, and other visual formats was updated. The new style is based on a blue-cyan palette and cheerful, slightly ironic collages, in which the meaning of each material is hidden — like a small visual riddle for the attentive reader.

This approach allows us to make content lively and recognizable: images do not just "illustrate," but converse with the reader, maintain interest, and easily fit into various formats — from blogs to social media — while preserving integrity and character.

Celebrated 20 years of Cityhost.ua and held a festive action "Merch for Meme" for the community

On September 1, Cityhost.ua turned 20 years old. We wanted to celebrate this date not formally, but together with the people who use the services and are part of our community.

For the anniversary, we launched a festive action "Merch for Meme" in our Telegram channel. Participants sent memes, jokes, and poems about hosting and Cityhost.ua itself. It turned out to be easy and fun, with humor and self-irony. We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this competition.

Cityhost clients created a meme about the hosting provider

This was the first experience of such an action, and honestly, we were nervous before the start. But users actively joined in, sent their works, and supported each other with reactions and comments. The winners were determined by the community itself through likes, and the authors of the most popular works received branded gifts — t-shirts, power banks, candles, and stickers.

For us, this celebration became a pleasant and important experience: it showed that Cityhost.ua has an attentive and friendly, but at the same time honest and critical audience.

Expanded the range of branded merch

This year, we added new items to the branded merch. In addition to the t-shirts that were previously available, power banks, candles, and new stickers have appeared.

We use merch as gifts for competition winners and as pleasant tokens of appreciation for the team during holidays. It is a simple way to thank for participation, support, and shared moments.

In 2025, the Ukrainian hosting provider Cityhost expanded its merch line

It is important for us that these are truly quality and pleasant-to-use products, so we searched for manufacturers carefully and thoroughly — and now we are confident that such gifts will indeed bring joy to those who receive them.

Held the action "November — the month of transfer to Cityhost"

In November, Cityhost.ua held an action dedicated to domain transfers. Throughout the month, users transferred their domains to our service and received pleasant bonuses for it.

For each completed transfer, 100 hryvnias were credited to the account balance, all participants automatically joined the draw for branded gifts, and the most active user received a separate prize — an external disk of 1 TB.

The action was open to both existing clients and those who were just getting to know Cityhost. For us, this became another way to show that switching to the service can be simple, beneficial, and without unnecessary barriers.

Continue to manage social media, shooting fun videos for TikTok

We launched the Cityhost channel on TikTok in October last year and have been consistently developing it throughout 2025. Despite the rather niche theme, the channel has gathered over 1,000 subscribers and nearly 16,000 likes on the videos. This indicates that even complex technical topics can work in the TikTok format if they are presented simply and humorously.

Here is one of the popular videos that users have watched over 63 thousand times.

Short videos also helped us promote our Instagram page, which now has over a thousand subscribers.

This experience attracted the attention of colleagues in the industry. Content marketer Bohdana Haivoronska, at the invitation of "Hostmaster," spoke at the round table "Internet Education" as part of the online conference UADOM-2025.

During her presentation, she shared practical experience working with TikTok as a communication platform: how to present complex IT topics interestingly for the existing audience and potential clients, build trust, and maintain viewer attention by combining humor with educational content.

Continued to develop the blog and focused on practical materials

The Cityhost blog remains a space where we regularly share useful content for those working with websites or just starting their journey online. Throughout the year, we published materials about websites and domains, SEO, marketing, working with services, as well as technical topics that users face in practice.

In 2025, the blog featured 54 new articles. We paid special attention to formats that truly help in work: step-by-step tutorials, clear explanations of complex topics, and practical examples.

This year, the content included more materials on website monetization, the use of SEO tools, and working with AI services. We are consciously moving towards applied texts — those that one wants to return to not just "for reading," but for specific actions.

Technical development and updates

We continue to systematically update both internal systems and server infrastructure, focusing on the stability of service operation, security, and performance. Throughout the year, the team implemented a number of technical changes and improvements — below are just some of them.

Phased automation of ordering and deploying VPS

The automation of ordering and deploying virtual servers was implemented in phases. First, the launch of VPS on Linux was automated, then on Windows, and the next step was the automation of configurations with IPv6 support.

Currently, ordering VPS with Windows and IPv6 occurs without manual involvement from specialists and is not dependent on working hours. After the tariff is selected, the system independently deploys the server, performs the necessary settings, and connects IPv6.

As a result, the activation process has been significantly accelerated, and the server is ready for operation within 10 minutes after ordering.

Launched VDS with NVMe disks in the Ukrainian location

In the line of virtual servers hosted in Ukraine, configurations with NVMe drives for Linux and Windows operating systems have become available.

The use of NVMe disks provides higher data processing speeds and lower latencies compared to classic SSDs and HDDs. This positively affects the performance of websites and applications, database operations, as well as file and backup operations.

Updated PHP to version 8.4 on hosting servers

The current version of PHP — 8.4, which is oriented towards modern requirements for performance, security, and compatibility with new projects, has become available in the hosting environment.

The update allows working with the current PHP release without additional settings and using it for both development and deploying websites. The selection of the required version is made through the control panel.

Extended the term for ordering and renewing hosting and VPS to 3 years

We have introduced the possibility of ordering and renewing virtual hosting and VDS services for 36 months at once. This allows planning the use of services for a long period and returning to renewal issues less frequently.

The renewal option for 24 or 36 months becomes available at a specified period before the service expiration:

for virtual hosting — 35 days before the expiration date,
for VDS servers — 21 days before the expiration date.

Expanded navigation in the "Help" section

The help section now features a search function at all levels of the structure — on the pages of sections, subsections, and directly in the materials. This allows finding the necessary information without returning to the main page of the section.

The search works by keywords and immediately shows relevant results, simplifying navigation in the help materials and reducing the time spent searching for answers.

Expanded language localization of the hosting control panel

The Polish language has become available in the hosting control panel. It has supplemented the existing language interfaces and can be selected by users without additional settings.

Expanding localization is part of the systematic work with interfaces. In November, Polish and German language versions of the main site were also added, providing a consistent multilingual experience for users from different countries.

At the end of the year, numbers help to see the scale. But for us, they are not about the number of services or orders. Each new account, domain, or server means that someone has started something of their own — a website, project, idea, initiative.

We see this as many separate starts that happen every day. And it is important that people choose Cityhost at the moment when they decide to take the first step or move forward with an already existing project.
