We’ve gathered the most interesting updates that have appeared at Cityhost over the past few months — and packed them into our April review. We’ve added useful little tweaks to make users’ lives easier, automated key processes, refreshed the control panel, and expanded the hosting’s technical capabilities. Read on to see what’s changed — and start enjoying the new features today.
Ordering and renewing virtual hosting and VDS services now available for up to 3 years
You can now order or renew either of these two services for 36 months at once.*
*The 24- and 36-month renewal options become available:
- for hosting — 35 days before the expiration date;
- for VPS — 21 days before the expiration date.
As a reminder, long-term hosting comes with progressive discounts — the longer the term, the higher the discount from the final price. For a three-year period, that’s a 40% discount. Add to that a 20% discount for new hosting purchases and the personal loyalty discount for returning customers… and it’s practically free!
Custom site sorting added
Arrange your sites in the order that suits you best — based on how often you use them or any other personal criteria. It’s especially handy for users with a large number of sites.
Just click the "Sort" button and drag sites up or down with your mouse. Then click "Done."
Windows virtual server ordering is now automated
We recently fully automated the VPS/VDS installation process for Linux, and now it's Windows servers' turn. This means the entire process runs without a specialist and is much faster — at any time convenient for the client. Want to rent a server at 3 a.m.? It'll be ready in 10 minutes!
Dedicated server pages now show the number of cores and threads
You now get even more clear and detailed info before ordering a dedicated server — the DS card now shows the number of CPU cores and threads.
Referral program updated
While the world descends into chaos, we keep calmly paying out affiliate rewards.
The minimum payout to a bank card is now 1,000 UAH (previously 250 UAH). There are still no limits for balance withdrawals.
Another update: users will now receive a notification via registration email and Telegram bot after withdrawing funds to a card or balance. By the way, if you haven’t yet connected the bot — we highly recommend it. This handy helper will always notify you of important account events and let you quickly top up your services.
"Service Renewal" page added to the control panel
A new “Service Renewal” page has been added under the “Payment” menu, where you can access payment for all your services: hosting, domains, VDS, DS, and Storage. Now you can view all service expiration dates in one place and pay for the ones you need with a single click on the card icon.
The payment button for SSL certificates will appear 30 days before the service expires.
PHP 8.4 now available on hosting servers
We’ve added PHP 8.4 support to all our hosting servers. This means you can now use the latest language features: better performance, new functionality, and improved security.
Version 8.4 is especially useful for developers looking to test or launch projects on the most up-to-date PHP version. Switching versions takes just a couple of clicks in the control panel.
Domain profile creation process improved
You no longer need to choose the input language when creating a domain profile — if you enter your name in Cyrillic, it will be automatically converted into Latin characters for Whois.
Search bar added to all Help section pages
To make it even easier to find answers, we’ve added a convenient search bar to all help section pages — including categories, subcategories, and even within articles. No need to go back to the main Help page: just enter a keyword and instantly see relevant content. It’s a small but super handy update that’ll save you time
