The Google Panda filter is an algorithm whose task is to pessimize the positions of sites with low-quality content. It finds resources with duplicate pages, lots of links or keywords, stolen content.

Under what conditions will Google Panda impose a filter :

  • There are duplicate pages or articles within the same site;
  • Borrowed content without reference to the original source;
  • Keyword sorting;
  • Multi-suggestion articles that are more like micro-markup on Twitter;
  • Weak behavioral factor, when the visitor got to the site from the search and immediately left;
  • The comment thread is littered with links, seo-keys, and off-topic texts.

Google Penguin is another filter . The search and pessimism of sites that tried to get high positions by bribing donor sites is included in the algorithm. Manipulation of the link weight in Google is strictly prohibited and is punished by the imposition of filters, from which it is very difficult to bring the site back into the general index and return the former positions.

Google Penguin appeared in the spring of 2012 . Over the years, the filter has been improved, and today it works almost flawlessly. The filter quickly reacts to any change in link weight, and if it sees unnatural links, the site pages go from the index to the filter.

The Penguin filter responds to:

  • Nonsense in the anchor text;
  • Links from spam sites;
  • Off-topic pages are linked;
  • Selling donors.

Google Pirate - a filter with an algorithm that responds to copyright complaints. There are many sites in the network that offer free viewing, downloading, use of computer programs, films, clips and music, other works of art and intellectual work. Most often, these are other people's works with the presence of legal rights holders.

And they did not give permission for free distribution on the Internet. But there are craftsmen on the network who hack programs or find a way to upload someone else's copyrighted work to their site. The copyright holder and its sponsors bear the loss because the profit goes to the pirate site.

With the appearance of Google Pirate in 2012, rights holders had an opportunity to fight thieves. Thanks to complaints, pirated copies are removed from free access, and the offending site is banned. In the network today you can still find various torrents and chains with spacers on them, but, as a rule, they do not live long.

How to protect the Internet site from the Google Pirate filter?

Check information for copyright before posting. After posting, check whether the posted third-party content has a copyright owner. This also happens. In practice, it looks like this: a person wrote a book, registered an intellectual product as a copyright holder. The license established free access without the right to use for commercial purposes and reprint under someone else's name.

Later sold his product to another person along with the authorship. The new right holder changed the type of license and closed access to free distribution. All sites that hosted the once free book became offenders, and the book itself changed its status from original to pirated copy. The original is in the hands of the right holder.

Google Kolibri filter - earned in 2013. It analyzes the semantic part of the text on the site page and displays it in the search for the corresponding request made by the user. That is, Kolibri is a filter that participates in the formation of output. Every seo-analyst who is faced with the task of getting the site into the TOP-10 tries to understand the evaluation algorithm of the Kolibri filter.

With the appearance of Hummingbird, the classic techniques of seo-optimizers sank into the summer: to insert more keywords into the text, which were planned to be promoted to the TOP. The algorithm itself began to understand which keywords could be suitable for the texts on the page, and which ones are absolutely not suitable, despite the ardent desire of the specialist to promote his site by these keywords.

On the one hand, this simplified the task for webmasters in the future and saved time for optimizing the article and its placement, but on the other hand, the work done before the appearance of the algorithm turned out to be useless. It was a pity the lost time and invested money. And I still had to sacrifice time to replace articles with stilted keys like "order plastic windows in Kyiv free delivery" with readable offers "you can order plastic windows in Kyiv with free delivery".

Why did Kolibri impose a filter? According to Perespa key words. A cluttered article with the same type of words (associations, pretexts, introductions) was also penalized because it was considered low-grade content.
