In January 2026, Facebook opened monetization for Ukrainians. Even those who had long forgotten about this social network suddenly remembered their profiles and pages, and last year's YouTube and TikTok videos discussing earnings from content on Facebook in test mode began to receive views again. However, there is a lot of speculation around this topic: from connecting monetization with 100 followers to earning thousands of dollars a month on stolen Reels. So we decided to take a closer look at the new opportunities for Ukrainians and answer key questions, considering who can get monetization on Facebook, what can be earned from, and what income to expect.
Facebook Monetization Requirements: Can Everyone Really Earn
You could earn on Facebook as early as last year. Although for a long time, earnings were only available in the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK, and parts of Western Europe, and then gradually expanded to other countries, Ukrainian users had access only to limited tools like Stars and Branded Content. However, in August 2025, Ukrainians gained access to the beta version of the Unified Content Monetization Program, which opened access to all methods, including In-stream Ads (ads in videos) and Ads on Reels (advertisements in short videos). And in January 2026, official payments began for all Ukrainian accounts that meet the key requirements.
Important point: the opening of monetization on Facebook in Ukraine does not mean that you will automatically gain access to all tools. For key earning methods, such as Ads on Reels and In-Stream Ads, there is an invitation system. This is not like YouTube, where you reach a specific number of subscribers and minutes watched, apply, and get approved quickly. Many authors on Facebook, even from countries where monetization has long been available, do not have access to some tools, such as Performance Bonus.
Account Architecture: Professional Mode or Business Page
The easiest way to start earning on Facebook is to convert a regular profile into a professional one. No magic! Just go to the "Settings and Privacy" section and click "Try Professional Mode."

Next, you will be informed about the benefits of Facebook's professional mode, including earning money for publishing content, and you will be given the option to activate it by clicking Turn On.

The main advantage of professional mode over a business page is that friends automatically become followers, allowing you to meet Facebook monetization requirements faster. However, this becomes a disadvantage if you want to launch your own brand in the English-speaking market, as the first reactions will come from Ukrainians, to whom the algorithm will continue to show your content. Another disadvantage is the lack of teamwork, meaning you cannot add, for example, a content manager to promote the profile.
Another way to earn on Facebook is through monetizing a business page. It is better to create and manage the page through Meta Business Suite, especially if you want to promote it to an English-speaking audience. You just need to go to "Accounts" → "Pages," click "Add," and select "Create Facebook Page."

Creating a Facebook page through Meta Business Suite will allow you to clearly separate personal use of the social network from business activity. And here you can fully manage finances, including setting up earning tools.

How Much Can You Earn from Facebook Monetization in 2026
This year's feature is the ability to earn not only from short and long videos but also from texts and photos if they receive a large number of reactions, saves, and shares. So, if you don't want to shoot videos but love writing texts or taking photos, this is your chance to start earning money on Facebook. However, it is worth noting that video content still receives the best organic reach.

Income depends not on your location but on where people watch your videos or read your posts. So if an author is Ukrainian but their main audience is from the USA, they will receive payment at American market rates. In this regard, Facebook is no different from many well-known social networks.
If we analyze CPM rates on Facebook by countries in 2026, an interesting picture emerges. With Tier 1 countries (USA, Australia, UK, Canada), nothing new — from $10 to $28. Ukraine has always been placed in Tier 3 with CPM from $0.50 to $5.00, but due to the active growth of the digital market in some niches, we are classified as Tier 2 with rates of $5-15. Currently, we cannot confirm or deny this information, as the year has just begun, so we recommend expecting $0.50-$5 but aiming for $5-15.
With the introduction of the Unified Monetization Program, Facebook uses different calculation models for different formats. Let's break down the key ones:
- Long videos (In-stream Ads). The rate starts at $2 and goes up to $10, especially in finance and B2B. So for 100,000 views, you can earn from $200 to $1000.
- Short videos (Ads on Reels). The average rate is $1-$3 CPM.
- Photos and text posts (Performance Bonus). For such content, the system does not use classic CPM but focuses on reach, meaning views over 3 seconds, likes, comments, reposts, saves. Approximately for 10,000 reach, you can earn $1, and for a million — $100.
It is important to understand that determining the exact CPM for everyone is impossible, as it depends on the niche (a video about the advantages of renting a virtual server will bring more money with the same activity than one about cats), audience geography, and seasonality. And, of course, don't forget about the format: text posts can also be monetized, but the income will be significantly lower than from short and long videos.
Examples of Earnings from Ukrainian Authors on Facebook
Full monetization on Facebook in Ukraine started only in January 2026, so we did not find current examples. However, it is worth noting that the test mode began back in July 2025, and some bloggers were discussing earnings as early as January last year. We will take them to understand how much money can be earned from Ukrainian-language content.

We found a TikTok channel "Valeriy Lypa." In one post, he shows a screenshot with an approximate income of $97.44 for 1.3 million views.

Another TikTok blogger Sashko Panchuk shows income from a video published on December 14, 2025. It gained 1.5 million views and 62,894 interactions, for which the author earned $62.35.
Overall, there is extremely little data: some show income, others simply talk about ways to earn on Facebook. But we did not stop searching and went further to YouTube (where there turned out to be even more materials on earning methods and even fewer specific stories).

Artem Ihnatenko on his eponymous YouTube channel talks about earning on his new Facebook page. He already had 250,000 readers on his profile but decided to conduct an experiment. Artem explains that for a week he uploaded content, and then left the page for 1.5 months, during which 30,000 people subscribed to it. In just 14 days, he managed to earn $152.91. How many views and interactions there were, what type of content, and what the page was about — this and similar crucial information is missing.
We searched for information on other platforms but mostly found either screenshots or text messages without images. Is the earnings of the above bloggers on Facebook real? If we take their views and the CPM we discussed earlier, then the data for Valeriy Lypa and Sashko Panchuk can very well be real (we do not have access to their dashboard, so we rely only on the average income from 1000 views).

And how much does the Cityhost team earn on Facebook? This is a logical question, but so far we do not meet the requirements of this social network. That is why we invite you to subscribe to our page, especially since we regularly update it with useful and fun videos and posts.
Case Studies of Earnings from English-Speaking Authors on Facebook
Users from the USA, Canada, the UK, and other countries where full monetization of Facebook profiles and pages has long been available have plenty of data. Let's start with Reddit, where thousands of posts discuss income from Facebook monetization ranging from $0.10 to $2100.

In this discussion, a user does not understand why they earned only $0.10 for a video with 275,000 views and 4467 engagements. Other users note that they also receive minimal payments, for example, $9 for 1 million views or $300 for 35 million views. Important: according to the author, the content is 100% original.

This same user created another discussion asking how much they earn from Facebook monetization. One of the readers shares their earnings: they earned $235 for both a video with 1.8 million views and one with 30 million views and 1 million interactions. There are no restrictions, the content continues to gain views, but after November 10, 2025, their earnings were $0.

And in this Reddit discussion, a user reports that their income for 12.5 million views was $179.01, while their friend earned $4500 for 50 million views.

In this post, a user managed to create 10 pages over 1.5 years and reach a total income of $21,061.93.
There are many such posts on Reddit, but we also want to see videos. So let's move to YouTube to learn about other examples of how much can be earned from Facebook monetization.

The author of the channel Petfluencer Secrets shows her total earnings for 10 million views. Over 90 days, she earned $1390, of which $1088.94 was from Reels, $300 — Extra Bonus, $3.90 — bonuses. She details how her earnings changed, so we recommend watching the video.

In this YouTube video, the author discusses monetizing a Facebook profile with 5100 followers. For November 2025, she earned $15.38. She details her story, but it ended tragically: monetization was disabled because the content violated community standards.
The examples we provided confirm that earnings on the project with English-speaking subscribers are significantly higher than with Ukrainian-speaking ones. And to achieve them, it is not necessary to move to the USA, Canada, the UK, or other English-speaking countries. You can create a page from scratch, set it up in English, and publish content exclusively in English to teach the Facebook algorithm to show your posts to the right audience.
However, even such an approach does not guarantee that you will be able to earn tens of thousands of dollars within a few months after creating the project. You have seen how different the successes of various creators are: some earn a few dollars, others tens of thousands, and some even lose that opportunity altogether.
How to Withdraw Money from Facebook Monetization
You have seen the income, weighed the risks, switched to professional mode or created a new page, started gaining followers, and are already dreaming of your first successfully withdrawn $100. But it is better to familiarize yourself with the legal and financial advice in advance that will help avoid problems in the future.
If you are just starting to earn from the Facebook Content Monetization Program in Ukraine and do not have another business, it is better to first try to withdraw funds as an individual creator:
- In your profile with professional mode or on the page, go to the Professional Dashboard → Monetization section. If you meet the criteria, a Set Up button will appear next to the available tools.
- Provide legal information: name (as in your passport), home address, and TIN. Plus, upload a photo of a document, such as a foreign passport or ID card, for verification.
- In the Facebook interface, fill out the tax form W-8BEN. It confirms that you are not a resident of the USA and allows you to take advantage of the double taxation avoidance agreement between Ukraine and the USA (otherwise, you will pay up to 30% US tax).
When you have stable income from Facebook, it is better to register as a single entrepreneur (the best option for this type of activity) and do the following:
- Change your payment profile. In Meta Business Suite or the Billing section, you need to change the status from "Individual" to "Business" (or "Single Proprietorship").
- Update your tax information. You will need to replace your personal TIN with your single entrepreneur's EDRPOU and upload the updated tax form.
- Change the details. You will only need to add the new IBAN number of the single entrepreneur's currency account. Just make sure that the recipient's name in the bank matches the account owner's name in Meta.

How to Start Monetizing Facebook in 2026
In February 2026, Facebook not only opened monetization for Ukrainians but also continued to develop the Andromeda algorithm. Unlike TikTok, which maintains a strict regional tie, Facebook prioritizes user reactions to content rather than the location of the profile or page owner. This allows for earning money from both Ukrainian-speaking and English-speaking users, where CPM is 2-3 times higher.
If you are not ready to gain an audience from scratch and do not aim to immediately enter the English-speaking market, then start with monetizing your Facebook profile. Just switch it to professional mode and regularly publish original content, focusing on Reels. Once you start earning money steadily from your profile, it will be easier to monetize by creating business pages for Ukrainian and foreign users, earning hundreds (or possibly thousands) of dollars each month.
