Domain registration rules through ICANN

1. Accuracy and Maintenance of Registrant Information

The registrant is responsible for providing complete, accurate, and reliable contact information during registration and for maintaining this information in an up-to-date state throughout the registration period. Any change in the contact details of the registrar, administrative, or technical contact must be updated within seven (7) days of the change.

Failure to comply with the requirements for maintaining accurate information, providing false or misleading data, or failing to respond to the registrar's requests regarding contact details within fifteen (15) days may result in the suspension or cancellation of the domain name.

2. Responsibility When the Domain is Used by a Third Party

If the registrant allows a third party to use the domain name (for example, through leasing, licensing, or internal delegation), the registrant remains the legal owner of the record and bears full responsibility for the domain.

The registrant remains responsible for:

- Maintaining their own accurate contact details

- Addressing abuses, legal, or operational issues related to the domain

The registrant assumes responsibility for damages caused by the abuse of the domain if they do not promptly disclose the identity and contact details of the actual user to parties providing reasonable evidence of harm.

3. Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Data

In the course of registering and managing the domain, the registrar collects personal and non-personal data for purposes including:

- Domain registration and renewal

- Submission and processing of the registry

- Compliance with ICANN policies and applicable laws

- Resolving DNS issues, handling disputes, and mitigating abuses

Some data elements are mandatory for registration, while others may be optional depending on the registry and services used. Registration cannot be completed without the necessary data.

4. Consent and Third-Party Data

By registering a domain name, the registrant consents to the processing of their data for the purposes stated above.

If the registrant provides personal data relating to another person (for example, an administrative or technical contact), the registrant confirms that:

- The individual has been informed about the use of the data

- The individual has consented to such use

- The provided information is accurate

5. Data Protection and Security

The registrar will process the registrant's data only for the specified purposes and will take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

6. Legal Representations

The registrant represents and warrants that:

- The registration and use of the domain name do not infringe the rights of any third party

- The domain name is not registered and is not being used for illegal purposes

7. Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

In the event of disputes arising from the registration or use of the domain name, the registrant agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of:

- The courts of the registrant's residence, and

- The courts where the registrar is registered

This does not preclude other applicable dispute resolution mechanisms (such as UDRP or URS).

8. Suspension, Cancellation, or Transfer

The registrant acknowledges that the domain name may be suspended, canceled, or transferred:

- To correct registration or registry errors

- To resolve disputes

- To comply with ICANN policies, registry rules, or applicable laws

9. Indemnification

The registrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the registrar and the registry operator, including their officers, employees, and agents, from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

- The registration or use of the domain name

- Breach of these terms
