What if my site is hacked?

From our side, all access to the servers is closed, and we monitor the security of customer data, maintaining it at the highest level.

So, attackers took advantage of a vulnerability in your scripts.

What vulnerabilities can be:

1. Vulnerabilities of site scripts . This may be due to previously downloaded themes, plugins, modules from unknown forums, late updating them, "cluttering" the FTP storage with outdated themes / plugins / modules that are not used.

2. Saving passwords in the browser or selecting passwords. If you regularly save your passwords in a browser, and even more so in several browsers on different PCs, the more prone you are to hacking. Likewise, using the same passwords for all services and easy passwords. If you have passwords of the type admin123, unfortunately, choosing it will not be difficult for an attacker.

3. Provision of access to third parties . If you give access to FTP, Mysql, SSH to your developer while working on the site, do not hesitate to change the access when the services are completed.

4. Viruses on the PC.

What to do if the site is hacked:

- analyze the site access logs ( Hosting2.0 - Management - Resources - Requests , or go to FTP and find the logs folder) for unauthorized access and file changes.

- contact the site developers with a request to find a vulnerability in the scripts and eliminate it.

- if the site works on one of the CMS , make sure that you have updated the version to the current version .

- if the site files were deleted, you can download a backup of the site and restore it. IMPORTANT: if you do not follow the points above, the vulnerability will remain and you will be hacked again.
